Tea with a Mysterious Man

Mortimer Street was so quiet that, at a first glance, it looked like a ghost street.
Although the houses were close together no one really seemed to know anybody else.
It suited me actually!
I like the quietness and the unfriedly neibourhood who wondered about my life but left me alone!
One day a man invaded my world by moving to the flat opposite mine.
To my surprise he was quieter than me.
So, I found myself studying him with reluctant curiosity.
He left the flat at a certain time, as a delivery when the day was still sleeping and stayed quiet in between.
I finally caught sight of the man in question, my mysterious man was Japanese with a very tidy look and a shy smile who invited me for a cup of tea, perhaps that was the day he found to apoligise for the lots of complaint notes because of the noise of the delivery van, or perhaps he didn't realise that they were complaint notes, because he spoke no English, he was just trying to be polite and social. He left soon after that, but I can still smell the scent of that cup of tea.
