Hello Hello!
So good to see internet is taking over English classes!Greeeeat :
Well, my name is Raquel Espanhol, I'm from Évora, but I have been living in Lisbon now for like 5 years. I entered university in 2000/2001, but I went to Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa to the Portuguese course. I didnt like it for a bunch of reasons like: it wasnt the courseI wanted, it wasnt the university I wanted, and the method of teaching didn't please me at all; so I decided to be transferred to UNL, to FCSH and of course to L.C.L Modernas, Portuguese-English! The following year (2001/2002)Ientered FCSH, but not everything went well. I was somehow lazy, and Ididnt pass all the subjects (inclunding English), so Ilost my scholarship, and the followingt years I had to go to work and think of what I really wanted to do with my life, soI think these 4 years working, and doing other stuff, helped me reach a moment when I truly know what I want. So this year I returned (hehehe watch out!!!) still as a student-worker, but with all the strength to finish what I can, so I can do what I really want to, so I can be pleased for having a job that I like get up in the morning to go to.
I believe that when we are 19, 20 years old we still don't know exactly what we want in life, that's why so many students give up university, and choose other ways of living.
I'm 25 years old, by nowI should already be graduated and working 8h a day, but it didn't happen like that, but it's never too late.
What more can I say about me...I have two brothers, one is 21 and the other is 7. I live with my best friend. I practice contemporary dance (yesI still have time for this!), and I'm a dj (it's a hobbie, but sometimes it gets serious) , usually in Lisbon I play like indie, rock, hardrock, alternative; but I also mix Chill Out music and psychadelic trance (but I'm a normal person, dont be scared!). Hope someday you can all come and see me!
I think I've written enough , please make me shut up!
